MAS Financial Services Limited has always been actively involved in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. We are committed to making a difference by placing priority on giving back to our community and believe that businesses can only be successful when they are engaged in making the world a better place.

The Company prefers to make contributions to the local area and areas around it where it operates, for spending the amount earmarked for CSR activities. It is the Company’s continuous endeavor to increase its CSR impact and spend over the coming years, supplemented with continued focus towards rural development, promoting health and sanitation.

Scope of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee

The purpose of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (“the Committee”) of the Board of Directors (“the Board”) of MAS Financial Services Limited (“the Company”) shall be to assist the Board and the Company in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The Committee has overall responsibility of:

  • identifying the areas of CSR activities;
  • recommending the amount of expenditure to be incurred on the identified “CSR activities” (which could include projects, programs or other permitted activities);
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring the CSR policy aligned with the company’s values, business objectives, and legal requirements from time to time;
  • formulating a CSR annual action plan and recommending it to the Board;
  • Creating a strategic roadmap for CSR activities, including setting goals, identifying key focus areas, and allocating resources.
  • reviewing the Company’s initiatives and programs, monitoring the execution of CSR programs to ensure they are effectively implemented and delivering intended outcomes;
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to understand their expectations, gather feedback, and foster collaboration in CSR initiatives;
  • Assessing and mitigating CSR-related risks, such as reputational, legal, or operational risks associated with non-compliance or unethical practices;
  • Encouraging employee involvement in CSR activities through volunteering, or other forms of corporate citizenship; and
  • coordinating with agency(ies) in implementing programs and executing initiatives as per the CSR policy of the Company

The purpose and responsibilities of the Committee shall include such other items / matters prescribed under applicable law or prescribed by the Board in compliance with applicable law from time to time. The Committee is also responsible for reporting progress of various CSR initiatives and in making appropriate disclosures on a periodic basis

SHIKSHA PROTSAHAN” – PROMOTING EDUCATION IN RURAL AREAS :

The Company has conducted a survey in more than 20 nearby schools in the villages located at the outskirts of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, Gujarat which requires basic necessities. It was found that educational institutions in that areas are unhygienic, very limited access to electricity, leaking toilets, broken furniture and short of teaching staff available to guide and teach students.

On the basis of the outcomes of the survey, the Company has formulated a long term action plan so as to promote basic education specifically in rural areas. The Company intends to provide basic facilities like providing the students – Stationery Kits, Uniforms, Sweaters, Renovation of School Gates, Purchase of Computers, Constructing Sheds and Washrooms along with paying fees of students pursuing higher education.

The Company will maintain the record of all the application forms, bills, fee receipts and acknowledgement proof for the funds spent for above mentioned categories.

The enclosed time line is thus decided to identify students and schools who require immediate support and attention. The Company will identify approx. Thirty (30) schools located in outskirts of Ahmedabad comprising of more than 1500 students across these schools in span of Three (3) years.

MASMENSTRUAL HYGIENE PROGRAMME (PROMOTING SANITATION IN RURAL AREAS):

The Company’s aim is to increase awareness among the rural population by providing required information and educating females the importance of adopting healthy sanitation practices. The Company will thus have team of Female Staff visit these villages and distribute sanitary napkins via vending machines at various locations and educate them that Menstrual Hygiene is not just useful, it’s necessary.

Key objectives of this initiative:

  • To increase awareness among adolescent girls and women on Menstrual Hygiene
  • To increase access to and use of high quality sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and women in rural areas
  • To ensure safe disposal of Sanitary Napkins in an environment friendly manner

All the application forms, bills or any such acknowledgement proof shall be kept in custody of the Company. Our sanitation projects will be focusing not only on providing related infrastructure but also on fostering behavioral changes towards better health & hygiene standards.

AROGYA ABHIYAN” – MEDICAL FACILITY TO NEEDY PEOPLE

With the help of employees and customers, the Company will identify needy and old aged people who are suffering from critical illnesses. The Company will ensure to ascertain background checks pre and past medical history of the patient before funding. However, all the application forms, medical bills/reports or any such acknowledgement proof shall be kept in the custody of the Company.
